The Loadek Solution

You might ask, Aren't there corrugated pallets already on the market? The answer is Yes. About 15 patented corrugated pallets are on the market today. But three problems have prevented the wider acceptance of any of them.

First, they're all structurally complex, requiring a minimum of ten different corrugated components to create one pallet. Loadek uses only two patented corrugated blanks.

Second, they all have to be hand-assembled, a time consuming process that requires extra labor, increasing the cost per pallet, decreasing economies of scale and preventing current designs from being able to effectively satisfy large demand users. Loadek is automatically machine assembled at over 250 per hour.

Third, having to be pre-assembled and shipped to end-user, freight charges and storage requirements make current corrugated pallet designs less attractive than wood pallets to the end-user. Loadek can be assembled on demand by machine at end-users facility, requiring only shipping and storage of flat blanks, a 30 to 1 savings in space.

These factors have prevented all previous corrugated pallets from competing seriously in the pallet marketplace.

The development of the Loadek Pallet addressed all of these issues. With its unique patented design (US Patent Number 6,029,582), the Loadek Pallet is made of only two pieces of corrugated and the entire pallet can be formed from blanks and assembled by machine at a rate of over 250 per hour in the end-user's facility. In addition, the blanks can be printed or custom cut, so the same manufacturing machine can produce a variety of pallet sizes and designs.
